In Science class today my teacher, Mrs. Sidesinger, came in and told us that she wanted to tell us a story. Mrs. Sidesinger is quite AWESOME! She does the funnest experiments with us and she's just fun to be around and listen to. So she came in today and tells us that over the weekend, she had an argument with her good friend. Mrs. Sidesinger thought that baths were better, but her friend thought that showers were. So to see how was right, they, of course, did an experiment.
What you Need:
*Small glass bowl (or microwave safe display tray...)~this represents the tub
*Milk~this represents the water
*Food Coloring~thsi represents the dirt on us
*Dish Soap~this is our soap
First, pour some milk into your bowl (or microwave safe display tray...) Next you warm up your milk for 15 to 20 seconds. When your milk is nice and warm (this represents your bath) put a few drops of food coloring into it. Then put one or two drops of dish soap into the milk. And watch the magic!!!
Here is my warm milk with food coloring in it...
The beginnings of my magic!
Swirls and Spirals ~~~ Don't get hypnotized!
So as you can see, it dosen't matter if you take a bath or a shower... As long as you use soap, you're good! What is hapening is the soap has two parts to it, on bonds to water and one bonds to dirt. So this is just a fun little expirement to so that, all you need is a litle soap.
